Police in Entebbe are actively investigating suspected a suspected suicide by stabbing that happened in Kitoro, Entebbe municipality, Wakiso District, after Nakigudde Carol, a 22 year old house wife allegedly stabbed herself in the neck, after her husband confiscated her UGX 450,000 SACCO money.
According to the Kampala Metropolitan Police Spokesperson Kawala Racheal, on Saturday at around 11pm, while at their home the deceased Nakigudde Carol picked quarrel with her husband Husama Mukiibi where she demanded the husband to give her, her money UGX 450, 000 since it was her turn to receive money from the local savings group.
“It is alleged the money was delivered through the husband but he did not give it to wife. The deceased Nakigudde Carol picked a knife and allegedly stabbed her self around the neck despite several efforts to stop her by the husband Husama Mukiibi” she said.
Kawala revealed that Nakigudde, was rushed to Entebbe regional referral hospital where she died from at 1 am on 17.05.2026.
“Investigations are still underway” she said.
Kawala further urged victims of domestic violence to make use of the Police’s child and family protection unit.
