The Uganda Civil Aviation Authority (UCAA) has revealed that Entebbe International Airport recorded 86,586 arriving and 69,756 departing passengers in July 2026, bringing the total to 156,342 international passengers, an average of 5,043 arrivals and departures per day.
According to statistics shared by UCAA, the July 2026 total is slightly higher than June 2026, which recorded 131,246 international passengers (67,601 arriving and 63,645 departing).
“Overall, July recorded an additional 25,096 passengers compared to June. June to August is typically a peak period” UCAA noted.
The authority however noted that, despite the increase from June to July 2026, overall traffic in July remains lower than in the same period of July 2025 by 70,667 international arrivals and departures. Similarly, June 2026 saw a deficit of 70,514 international arrivals and departures compared to June 2025.
Regarding cargo, the airport handled 3,123 metric tonnes of exports and 1,676 metric tonnes of imports, for a total of 4,799 metric tonnes in July 2026, compared to 4,140 metric tonnes in June 2026.
