Match Day 3 of the Jinja College (JICO) Alumni League Season 4 concluded with league newcomers Special Lot SC firmly retaining top spot on the table, moving to 16 points after collecting maximum points from their two fixtures of the day.
They opened with a commanding 5–3 victory over Kasenge before completing a perfect outing with a 3–0 win against Nvuluga, underlining their growing status as early title contenders.
The day began under a cloud of uncertainty after a delayed release of the Match Day 3 fixtures led to a slow morning at Time Out Leisure Park, the current home of the Jico League.
However, the gloomy mood quickly lifted around midday as teams began arriving, bringing life and excitement back to the venue.
Once the opening match kicked off, the league burst into action. Mbokya, Nvuyo, Kaswandi, Mbuyaga, Collegians, and LXG‑04 all showed moments of quality, producing spirited performances marked by flashes of brilliance, albeit with mixed results across the board.

It was, however, a challenging day for Kasenge, Nvuluga, and Migoiso, who suffered heavy defeats in fixtures many had anticipated would swing in their favour.
As a result, Kasenge, Scorpion Kings, and Migoiso currently occupy the bottom three positions on the league table. Kibaati FC finds itself in the same lower cluster, though this is due to having played only one match rather than poor results.
Last season’s runners-up Nvuyo FC continue to maintain momentum and remain firmly in the title conversation. Sitting second on the table with 12 points, they trail Special Lot SC by four points but face stiff competition as the battle for the top five intensifies.
With Kaswandi, Mboyo—the defending champions, and Mbokya all on 11 points, the upcoming fixtures promise little margin for error. Meanwhile, Solida FC, the league’s double champions, currently sit sixth with 10 points as they steadily rebuild consistency.

Despite the late start, players, officials, and fans who made it to the venue commended the officiating and smooth organization of the day’s activities, praising the league’s ability to recover and deliver competitive football.
In the race for individual honours, Davis Babalanda of Special Lot SC continues to lead the top scorers’ chart with seven goals. He is closely followed by Higenyi of Nvuyo FC on six goals.
A quartet—Pato (Kaswandi), Kadhaya (Solida FC), Paul Mugeme (Mboyo FC), and Godwin (Special Lot SC)—are locked on four goals each, rounding off an exciting early contest for the Golden Boot.
The Jico League Season 4 now pauses briefly before resuming on 6 June with Match Day 4, a pivotal round that will usher teams into mid-season evaluations, with many set to complete seven matches by then.
