Sports Club Villa Captain David Owori, has passed on following an alleged attack by thugs near his home in Makindye at around 8pm on Tuesday evening.
The club President Omar Ahmed, earlier revealed that Owori had been hospitalised in a statement released on Wednesday afternoon.
“SC Villa Football Club is deeply saddened to inform its supporters, the football community, and the general public that the Club’s Captain, David Owori, is suspected to have been attacked and assaulted by unknown individuals last night” he said.
He added, “David is currently hospitalized, in critical condition, and receiving urgent medical care. The Club and his family are doing everything possible to ensure that he overcomes this incident”.
Omar noted that police has been informed, and investigations are underway.
However current information indicates that he has passed on at case clinic.
