The King of the Obusinga Bwa Rwenzururu Kingdom, His Majesty Omusinga Charles Wesley Mumbere has returned home ahead of his Birthday and 60th coronation anniversary.
The Kingdom announced his return in a post on X, noting that His Majesty safely returned to Uganda from Türkiye following his medical review and was warmly received at Entebbe International Airport by Kingdom officials on Saturday night.
“As the Obusinga prepares to celebrate HM’s Birthday & 60th Coronation Anniversary on 14th November 2026, we look forward to celebrating this special occasion together under the theme RUN FOR THE PALACE” the Kingdom said.
The 60th coronation anniversary, initially scheduled for October 19, was postponed to November 14 because of the King’s absence from the country.
Kingdom officials had maintained that the anniversary would not be commemorated in his absence, prompting the change of date to allow him to personally preside over the celebrations.
