The Healing Crusade at Miracle Centre Cathedral in Rubaga, Kampala, led by Pastor Robert Kayanja and featuring American televangelist Benny Hinn, drew significant attention on its first night, June 27, 2025. Reports indicate over 200,000 attendees gathered, with 60,000 people lining up as early as 8 AM for the 7 PM service, showcasing immense enthusiasm.
The event saw 10,000 pastors united and participants from 14 nations, highlighting its international draw.
The Miracle Centre Cathedral, a Pentecostal megachurch founded by Kayanja in 1991, has a seating capacity of 10,500 but regularly hosts larger crowds, with over 20,000 attending weekly services.

The crusade’s scale aligns with the church’s history of hosting large events, 200,000 attendance
Benny Hinn’s third visit to Uganda, following previous crusades, was marked by fervent worship and miracles, consistent with his global ministry’s focus on healing and revival. Organizers spent approximately 3.1 billion UGX on preparations, with local support from the Catholic Church and Buganda Kingdom for logistics like parking.
The event’s impact, however, underscores Uganda’s strong Pentecostal movement and spiritual hunger.
