Five people have been killed and six others left critically injured after a Toyota Hiace taxi No. UA 415AV collided with Nissan milk truck No. UBL 615T at Kyalweza Village, Nakasongola District along Kampala–Gulu highway.
According to Savannah Regional Police Spokesperson, Sam Twineamazima, the accident happened at around 8:30 pm on Sunday evening when the taxi driver, who was reportedly speeding toward Gulu from Kampala, lost control and collided head-on with the oncoming milk truck.

Police noted that the six others critically injured were transported to Nakasongola Health centre IV and Kiryandongo Hospital for medical treatment
The bodies of the deceased have been conveyed to Nakasongola Health centre IV for postmortem.
