Police in Kamuli district has arrested a 40 year old woman, one Rehema after she allegedly attacked and cut off her 60-year-old husbands left testicle on Friday Night.
Preliminary police investigations show that Richard Masanka a resident of Kasoigo ward, Northern Division, was attacked in his sleep by Rehema who allegedly attempted to mutilate his genitals and kill him.
Reports indicate that Masanka went to bed at 11pm on Friday night leaving Rehema seated outside their house, it’s alleged that while he was asleep, Rehema entered the house and attacked him, attempted to strangle him before inflicting a cut that resulted in the loss of his left testicle.
The Busoga North regional Police spokesperson ASP Kasadha Micheal condemned the attack on Masanka who is currently receiving treatment at Kamuli General Hospital and similar acts of Gender Based violence that are on the increase in the region, noting that investigations into the matter are still ongoing.
Recently, the Kamuli Magistrates court sentenced a 34 year old mother of four, Kevin Nabirye to a 20 years’ imprisonment for cutting off her husband Mathias Bwamiki’s man hood accusing him of denying her sex after getting another lover.
