Following days after his disappearance by armed operatives in Kamwokya, a Kampala suburb, National Unity Platform (NUP) photographer Ninye Tabz real names Andrew Natumanya, has been dumped at the Kampala Central Police Station by armed operatives.
Natumanya’s resurfacing at the police, has been confirmed by lawyer and human rights activist Agather Atuhaire.
“I can now confirm that @NinyeTabz has been found and lawyers are securing bond” she posted on her X handle on Monday.
On Wednesday last week, the NUP Secretary General David Lewis Rubongoya, Tabz broke the news of his seizure by security operatives, before being whisked away by the infamous Toyota ‘Hiace’ drone vehicle.
“We’ve just been informed of the abduction of @NinyeTabz from Kamwokya a short while ago. He has been whisked away in a drone. The lawlessness continues! #FreeUgandaNow” he posted on his X account.
Natumanya has been released on police bond after being charged with the offence of unauthorised disclosure of official information and unlawful disclosure or obtaining of personal data.
Recently, Masaka City Woman MP Justine Nameere confirmed that she had reported Natumanya to the police following a bitter confrontation between the two on X.
“When my lawyers filed a criminal case against this individual, we discovered he already has 21 sanctioned criminal files. None are political. All stem from personal disputes with different people” she posted on her X handle.
