Kalangala District is in mourning following the death of Woman MP Hellen Nakimuli after an unsuccesful medical operation.

Her death has been confirmed by the National Unity Platform (NUP) President Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu, to which she subscribed to in a post on his X account.
“Terrible, shocking news! Hon. Hellen Nakimuli, Woman MP, Kalangala District just passed on after an unsuccessful surgery! May God strengthen all of us in this very tough time” he posted.
