The Gulu Chief Magistrate’s Court has granted the National Unity Platform (NUP) deputy president for Northern region, Dr Lina Zedriga bail after more than a month in detention.
The presiding Chief Magistrate, Augustine Alule Koma, released Dr Zedriga on a cash bail of one million shillings and bonded her four sureties a non-cash bail of UGX 10 million each.
During her previous bail application on February 17th, the court denied her bail after prosecution asked court for more time to verify the sureties bail documents.
According to prosecution, Zedriga committed the offences in December 2025 in Gulu, Amuru and Nwoya districts by inciting National Unity Platform (NUP) supporters to attack members of the National Resistance Movement (NRM), charges which she denied.
