The Nakawa Chief Magistrate’s Court has charged Tik Toker Henry Bbosa, alias General Taiga alias Musege with hate speech and incitement to violence after he allegedly used social media to promote hostility against NRM supporters and certain ethnic groups in the country.
According to prosecution, General Taiga while in the districts of Kayunga, Luweero and Kampala used a Tik Tok account (@tiga46uu) to share content likely to promote hostility against the Banyarwanda and Banyankore communities.
Prosecution further alleged, that through the same account, General Taiga published statements intended to incite death or physical harm against supporters of the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM) during the January 15 general election.
The court has remanded Taiga until February 11th when the case will come up before the court for hearing.
