Kasambya County MP and General Secretary Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU) Daudi Kabanda, has attacked Senior Special Advisor to President Yoweri Museveni and son in law to the first family Odrek Rwabwogo over allegedly betraying the country.
In a post on his X account on Monday, Kabanda accused Rwabwogo of treachery following recent comments from three U.S Senators about the First son and Chief of Defence Forces (CDF), Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba on his X account.
“Ugandans need to know that Rwabwogo has of recent been making several trips to the US meeting undisclosed members of congress and US government. This pattern confirms the current attacks from some members of senate on the Ugandan government” Kabanda said.
Kabanda has further accused the Minister of Internal Affairs Kahinda Otafiire of collaborating with Rwabwogo to enable the verbal attacks on Gen Muhoozi who is also the National Chairperson and founder of the Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU).
“We are also aware that he is being supported in this treachery by Otafiire” Kabanda posted.
Recently Kabanda and ICT Minister Dr. Chris Baryomunsi clashed following the recent tweets by Gen Muhoozi which have since been deleted.
The verbal fight that captured Ugandans by surprise over the weekend, came days after Gen. Muhoozi posted and later deleted a string of messages alleging that Uganda’s security cooperation with the United States had been undermined and suggesting the Uganda Peoples’ Defence Forces would suspend cooperation with the U.S. mission in Kampala, including activities linked to Uganda’s operations in Somalia.

Gen Muhoozi later issued an apology, saying he had been given wrong information and that military cooperation would continue “as usual.”
However, the Chairperson of the U.S Senate Foreign Relations Committee, Senator Jim Risch, rejected the apology in a tweet on his x account and urged his government to re-evaluate it’s security partnership with Uganda following the recent posts by Gen Muhoozi on his X account.
On Saturday, while appearing on Capital FM’s Capital Gang political talk show, Baryomunsi stated that Gen. Muhoozi’s social media posts do not represent official government positions.
“For the record, the CDF does not speak for government, his tweets, often short and sometimes deleted are not official positions but casual comments. I have raised this matter with the appointing authority, including the President, because they do make my work harder” he said.
Baryomunsi’s remarks triggered a heated exchange with Kabanda, who accused the minister of undermining Gen. Muhoozi.
“With due respect, Dr. Baryomunsi, a known opportunist who joined government for political survival has no moral authority to despise Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba,” Kabanda said.
Kabanda further accused Baryomunsi of alleged misconduct during the last elections in Kanungu District, including claims of abducting a priest to suppress opposition.

Kabanda is one of those who make ugandans think and know how Gvt officials fight behind the curtains.
But does he care what such public comments cause to the proper functioning of Gvt?.Things ike this need to be dealt with inhouse.
Greetings from Mubende District LCV chairperson whose victory was grabbed by mafias. The government must handle such people who use government resources to suppress and invade people’s mandate.
Dear government officials it’s worsening if I see Hon Kabanda attacking every senior leader in this country in the name of CDF this will turnish the government image.
Lets leave CDF out of politics and do updf work effectively.
