The National Unity Platform (NUP) is set to review a number of complaints that have been raised by party members who lost out on receiving the party ticket on different positions during the just concluded party nominations.
In a communication made thorough the party’s X handle on Monday, NUP noted that the special committee stopped receiving complaints for the District chairpersons, Town council chairpersons and direct councilors positions on Sunday to enable them make the review on Monday.
“The Special Committee set up to receive and entertain complaints arising out of the candidate selection process concluded the receipt of complaints on Sunday (Aug 31st) evening. No new complaints will be received past this deadline.
The Committee is currently studying each complaint in order to make the relevant determination. We hope to issue the final list of candidates by Close of Business today (September 1st)” the statement read.
Party officials noted that the party will then after embark on the nomination process for the National Unity Platform candidates at the Party Headquarters and the relevant points in other constituencies on Tuesday, 2nd September, 2025.
“The schedule for nominating the various categories of candidates will be communicated accordingly” the statement further read.
