Nakawa Division Mayor Nubian Li, real name Buken Ali, has announced the death of his father, Lt Col Ratibu Mududu Ombedriku.
The singer cum politician, made the announcement through his X account on Thursday, sparking a somber moment among his fans and social media family.
“INNA LILLAHI WA INNA ILAYHI RAJI’UN
With deep sorrow and total submission to the will of Almighty Allah, we announce the passing of our beloved father, Lt. Col. Ratib Mududu Ombedriku” he posted.
However, he didn’t share specific details about his cause of death.
Following the announcement, several notable figures, including National Unity Platform (NUP) President Robert Kyagulanyi, alias Bobi Wine, Gen. Mega Dee, David Lewis Rubongoya, Joel Ssenyonyi, among many others, mourned the late Ratibu’s passing.
The deceased will be laid to rest today in Kenya ward, Arua City at 4pm.
