The National Unity Platform (NUP) photographer Ninye Tabz real names Andrew Natumanya, has reportedly been abducted by security operatives in Kamwokya, a Kampala suburb.
According to the NUP Secretary General David Lewis Rubongoya, Tabz was whisked away by the infamous Toyota ‘Hiace’ drone vehicle.
“We’ve just been informed of the abduction of @NinyeTabz from Kamwokya a short while ago. He has been whisked away in a drone. The lawlessness continues! #FreeUgandaNow” he posted on his X account.
The party spokesperson Joel Ssenyonyi, condemned the arrest, describing it as senseless.
“The senseless abductions continue, Tabz @NinyeTabz has been taken by a drone from Kamwokya!!” he posted.
Recently, the blogger was one of the online voices actively commenting on developments surrounding former Speaker Anita Among’s corruption saga, which has dominated political discussion in Uganda.
