The Masaka Catholic Diocese is in mourning after the loss a senior priest, Rev. Fr. Bony Kalyesubula who died in an accident few meters to his parish.
Fr. Kalyesubula’s passing was announced by the Bishop of Masaka Diocese, Rt. Rev. Serverus Jjumba in an announcement dated January 18th.
“Rt. Rev. Serverus Jjumba, Bishop of Masaka Diocese regrets to announce the tragic passing of Rev. Fr. Bonaventure Kalyesubula, who died in a motor accident on 17th June 2026”the announcement read.
Fr. Kalyesubula was ordained a Priest in 1988.
He has been the Chairman of the Diocesan Building Committee, residing at Kitaasa Parish.
The Diocese revealed that the funeral will take place at Bukalasa Minor Seminary cemetery on Friday 19th June 2026, beginning with Holy Mass at 2:00 PM.
