Maj Gen Sabiiti Muzeeyi the deputy Chief Executive Officer of National Enterprise Corporation was airlifted to Nakasero Hospital Kampala on Saturday after a nasty car crash on his way back from President Yoweri Museveni granddaughters traditional wedding ceremony.
According to reliable sources, the accident occurred in Lwengo district along the Mbarara–Kampala highway as the former Deputy Inspector General of Police was traveling back from the marriage ceremony in Mbarara
His vehicle was left mangled beyond recognition after being involved in a crash with a car carrying cattle, prompting immediate evacuation by security and medical teams.
According to eyewitnesses, a military helicopter was dispatched to airlift the General from the crash scene, underscoring the urgency of his condition.

Although no official statement has been issued by police or the army, multiple sources confirmed that Maj. Gen. Sabiiti is now out of danger.
Before his appointment as DIGP, he served as second-in-command of the Special Forces Command (SFC), where he worked closely on presidential security operations.

A graduate of the prestigious National Defence College in Kenya, he has held key command roles including Commander of the Military Police and Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIGP) from 2018 to 2020.
His redeployment back to the UPDF in 2020 saw him take on strategic assignments in the army’s leadership development programs.
