As the Country still takes in the glamourous and gracious 30th coronation anniversary of King Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru Rukidi IV at the Karuziika Royal Palace in Fort Portal City last week and the news that surrounded it, one individual caught our snoop’s eyes during the ceremony that has captured the country’s attention.
From Speaker of Parliament Rt. Hon. Anita Among receiving a backlash publicly for offering to pay dowry for the King which a majority of Ugandans took as disrespectful and belittling to the monarch, to Queen Mother Best Kemighisa openly calling upon her son to marry.
Speaker Among who represented President Yoweri Museveni at the coronation promised a herd of cattle to the owner of cattle in the monarch which rubbed people differently.
“Just find yourself a wife and leave the rest for me,” Speaker Among said at the coronation.
Even though the call for King Oyo who ascended to the throne on September 12, 1995, aged three, after the death of his father, Omukama Patrick Olimi Kaboyo II, on August 26, 1995 has gained momentum at his 30th coronation ceremony,,,,.
It was Queen mother, Best Kemigisha’s call for him to marry during his nephew Jamari Mathew Adyeeri’s baptism ceremony where she wished for more grand children in the palace, as she advances in age that caught our snoops eyes.
“I thank God for giving me my first grandchild, and I pray to God for many grandchildren because years keep going and I am getting old. I request the Omukama to get the wife [Omugo], to give me grandchildren and Omukama once said that if he gets the wife, he will produce, so your prayers and our prayers, the prayers for our bishop, and the time when our king will get a wife God knows, so don’t get worried” Queen mother, Best Kemigisha said at the time.
However, the youngest monarch in the country has ably been able to take the gestures with good humor and smiling when the topic comes up, keeping the country at bay with who he is choosing to make his wife.
One person that caught our snoops eyes during the more than fortnight celebrations is Kajaza Safu, a gentle and polite lady who works and stays in Fort portal city.
Even though little is known about her, sources reveal Kajaza might be the one a probable suitor for King Oyo who has kept his dating lifestyle private for a very long time.
As we celebrate together with the tourism city on the youngest monarchs 30th coronation, we await to see the next space.
