Details have emerged of the party lifestyle of Julie Nalubwama, the mother of the three siblings who died in a house fire on Friday after she locked them in the house and went out leaving them unattended to as the trio lost their lives during the fatal fire.
According to reports, Nalubwama was partying at new popular hangout spot Dollar Springs Hotel, Abaita Ababiri when the fire that claimed her children Ellah Namiiro aged 12, Amani Namulema 5 and three year old Namujju Tamale’s lives broke out.
Nalubwama is reported to have boozed and danced the night away on the fateful night and only left the Hotel in the wee hours of Friday only to be welcomed at her residence by a huge smoke as residents tried to put everything to order at the scene of the burnt house.
During a vigil held for the children on Friday night at their father Lenon Kavuma’s ancestral home adjacent to the scene of the burnt house, mourners blamed Nalubwama for being negligent to the extent of failing to hire a housemaid who would take care of her children during night hours when she is away clubbing.
However, the couple didn’t respond to the mourners comments throughout the vigil.
It is said Nalubwama and her husband Kavuma, met in one of the bars in Entebbe but continued with their life style over the years even after starting a young family.
The deceased children are set to be buried today at 4pm at Kintu cemetery in Mpala zone near the scene of the burnt house.
