The Koboko Chief Magistrates court has charged and remanded two district officials over extorting money from Parish Development Model (PDM) beneficiaries in the district.
The officials who include the Community Development Officer Ms Driciru Caroline and Ms Ayite Sebbi Zaituni, the chairperson of the Degiba PDM SACCO, are facing charges of demanding money with Menaces.

Court heard that the two, together with others still at large, between 2023 and June 2025 in their capacity as part of the management of various Parish Development Model (PDM) groups in Degiba Parish conspired to extort money from beneficiaries in exchange for granting them access to PDM funds in Midia Sub-county, Koboko District.

The officials were arraigned before the Koboko Magistrates Court following their arrest by the State House anti-corruption unit in collaboration with the Criminal Investigations Directorate and Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions.
