The Entebbe Senior Magistrate Grade one, Edgar Tibayeita Tusiime has further remanded shoemaker and National Unity Platform (NUP) member Mr Juma Musuuza alias Madubarah until 14th July for court to decide whether he has a case to answer or not in the hate speech case before the court.
His worship Tibayeita adjourned the case after state attorney Mr Paul Byamukama Aheebwa informed court that the prosecution had closed it’s case on Monday.
“The prosecution has no witnesses today, we also close prosecution’s case” he said.
The case was coming up for further hearing with the state’s last witness, an officer at the Makerere University School of Humanities and Languages not appearing to take the stand and testify against Madubarah over allegedly degrading President Yoweri Museveni, First Son Muhoozi Kainerugaba and Speaker Anita Among on Tik Tok last year.
His worship, Tibayeita adjourned the case until the 14th of July to decide on the Prima Facie Case.
“We shall tell you whether you need to defend yourself or not, if you need to, then the lawyer will probably tell court, if you don’t need to then that will be the end. We are going to review the evidence and decide whether the evidence is sufficient for you to be required to defend yourself” he said.
