The Police has arrested three women activists under their umbrella, the Sisterhood Chain who staged a peaceful demonstration today along Sir Apollo Kaggwa road against what they described as the governments selective application of the law on social media users and called for Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba’s arrest.
The trio who include Namara Claire and Aloikin Praise Opoloje sung and chanted “Arrest Muhoozi, Free all political prisoners, Civilians are not soldiers” among other freedom slogans were arrested by Police and detained at Wandegeya Police Station on yet to be known charges.

According to the activists, several Ugandans mainly those belonging to the Opposition, have been arrested for speaking out online, while the First Son and Chief of Defence Forces, Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba, continues to make similar statements without facing consequences.
By the time of this publication, it wasn’t yet clear what charges have been preferred against them.
