The Government Chief Whip, Hon. Denis Hamson Obua has been officially nominated and declared unopposed for the upcoming party primaries for Ajuri Constituency.
The significant development, announced on Thursday, June 19th, 2025, by the NRM Electoral Commission, is a testimony of Obua’s overwhelming support in the constituency and the confidence he has earned within the party structures.
This milestone marks a major step forward in his political journey, as the NRM gears up for the next phase of electoral activities ahead of the general elections.
While addressing the media shortly after his nomination, Hon. Obua described the development as a clear demonstration of the services the party has delivered, particularly through the implementation of the NRM manifesto, which he referred to as the social contract with the people of Uganda.
He emphasized that in Ajuri County, he has been able to effectively deliver on key government priorities, which is why no one contested against him on the NRM ticket.
“The NRM has delivered in areas of electricity, clean water, roads, schools, and health centers. That is why today, I stand unopposed not just as a candidate but as a reflection of the work we have done together with the people,” he stated.
