The Tooro Crown Prince David Kiijanangoma Araali, has died at Mulago Cancer Institute after a long battle with throat cancer.
The late Kiijanangoma has been battling stage three cancer for more than a year which prompted his family members to solicit for financial assistance to support his treatment recently.
His death comes days after the burial of the late Omukama Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru Rukidi IV, at the royal tombs in Karambi, Fort Portal on September 12th following his death to cancer on August 27, 2026, in the USA.
David Kiijanangoma Araali is also the elder brother of the newly elected Tooro King, Edward Kijanangoma Nyabongo I, who has confimed his passing in a post on X.
“It’s with a heavy heart that I announce the untimely passing on of my elder brother Prince David Kijanangoma. Prince David has lost a long time battle to cancer” he posted.
He is the younger brother of Happy Kijanangoma, who was shot dead in Fort Portal town in 1995.
David Kiijanangoma is widely remembered to have attempted to dethrone the late Oyo in 2015.
