The Kira Road Police Division is appealing to the public for assistance in tracing Munyaneza Dan Nelson, a 10-year-old pupil of Kalinabiri Primary School, Kigoowa-Ntinda, who went missing on 26th July 2026.
According to the Kampala Metropolitan Police Deputy PRO, ASP Luke Owoyesigyire, it’s alleged that at around 8:00am on that day, Dan asked for permission from his mother to go to a friend’s place to collect a book.
“He left home in Kulambiro Zone, Nakawa Division, but did not return. Efforts by his family and neighbours to locate him were unsuccessful, prompting a report to Police” he said.
Owoyesigyire, noted that the police has commenced investigations, including recording statements from witnesses and pursuing available CCTV footage from nearby private cameras.
“A tracing notice has also been circulated, and inquiries are still ongoing. Anyone who may have seen Dan or has any information regarding his whereabouts is urged to immediately contact the nearest Police station or call: 0740 441 520” he said.
Owoyesigyire, further encouraged the public to share this appeal widely to help reunite the child with his family.
