The Police in Entebbe has in custody a 26 year old man identified as Muliika Wasswa Timothy, over the alleged torture of his two year old son.
Muliika is said to have burnt his son’s buttocks and also beat him daily.
Muliika’s arrest follows the boy’s mother Rosemary Nakayima, running to her friend who advised her to report the matter to police in order to save the boy’s life.
According to Nakayima, Muliika who also allegedly brutalised her in the past, asked to stay with their son for three days, however upon returning the boy, she found him with multiple bruises all over the body.

The Kampala Metropolitan Police Deputy PRO, ASP Luke Owoyesigyire, confirmed Muliika’s arrest and noted that investigations into the incident are ongoing.
“It is alleged that the incident happened recently while the child had separated from the mother to stay with the father, only to come back when the child had bruises. An investigation is ongoing after the mother reported the case to police” he said.
Owoyesigyire further appealed to members of the public, to always continue reporting such cases of child torture for police to investigate.
