The Ugandan media fraternity is mourning the death of veteran BBS Television journalist Joseph Sseruwooza, who passed on at Mulago National Referral Hospital on Friday morning.
The news of his passing was announced by the station through their X page.
According to reports Sseruwooza succumbed to complications from a blood clot related to ulcers.
Following his passing, a number of tributes have started pouring in for the Sseruwoza, who was among the station’s dedicated Parliamentary reporters and also hosted Zuukuka Nensonga at the station
Kira Municipality MP George Musisi described his passing as heart-breaking.
“Two days ago I was hosted by my friend Joseph Sseruwooza, like he has done several times in the past on @bbstvug! This morning we have received news of his passing! Very heartbreaking! My condolences to his family, BBS TV colleagues and the media fraternity. Rest well my brother” he posted.
NBS journalist Kungu Al-mahadi Adam, described the deceased as a calm and passionate journalist who touched many lives.
“Saddened by the passing of my friend Joseph Sseruwoza, a Parliament reporter and political talk show host at BBS Terefayina. A calm, humble, disciplined, and passionate young journalist who touched many lives through his work. May God grant him eternal rest and comfort his family, friends, and colleagues. Rest in peace, brother” he posted.
