Joint security agencies led by the Police have on Wednesday afternoon returned to outgoing Speaker of Parliament Anita Among’s, Nakasero residence and seized additional luxury cars.
The return to the opulent home, saw security operatives hauling away at least four more vehicles which included a Sports Utility vehicle registration number UBH 138W and a Toyota Land Cruiser with registration plate UA 630 BE.
Officers also impounded a Mercedes-Benz with personalised number plate AAA 1 and a Lexus Registration number UBP 704 Y, bringing to six the total number of vehicles seized so far.
On Monday, police seized two other luxury vehicles, a Rolls-Royce Cullinan and Range Rover from her Kigo residence.
The vehicles were transported to the Police Forensic Services Headquarters in Naguru.
The embattled former speaker is currently being investigated on allegations related to corruption, accountability, illicit enrichment and money laundering.
On Tuesday, security operatives on Tuesday, cordoned off the 5th floor of Parliament’s East Wing, as search operations were carried out in the office of former Speaker Anita Among.
