The Ministry of works & transport has revealed that the Nateete – Nakawuka Road section, around Nateete will be temporarily closed for three months to allow construction of drainage culverts under the ongoing road upgrade project.

According to the Permanent Secretary Bageya Waiswa, the three month closure takes effect this Friday 15th May.
“Motorists are advised to use alternative routes including Old Masaka Road, Masaka Road, Entebbe Road through Kajjansi, as well as Mutundwe and Wankulukuku connections” he said.
Bageya noted that the road works are intended to improve drainage, reduce flooding, and enhance road durability.
He further urged road users to follow traffic guidance and directional signage during the construction period.
