RUBAARE: A sense of shock and grief has engulfed the tranquil town of Rubaare following the sudden and mysterious death of a man at Amahoro Bar and Lodges, located in Rubaare 2 on Friday night.
The deceased, whose identity has not been disclosed, was found lying lifeless in room 7, sparking fears and concerns among residents and authorities alike.
According to Mr. Niwamanya Bruce, manager of Amahoro Bar and Lodges, the man arrived at the establishment at approximately 10:00 am, purchased two bottles of Gunnies beer, and retired to his room to rest.
”It was a heart-wrenching discovery,” Mr. Niwamanya revealed. “We are shocked and saddened by this incident, and our thoughts are with the deceased’s family and loved ones during this difficult time.”
The incident has raised pressing concerns about security and guest registration procedures in local bars and lodges.
Mr. Ndebesa Milton, LC1 Chairperson of Rubaare 2 and chairperson of all Rubaare chairpersons, emphasized the importance of vigilance and cooperation with security agencies.
”This tragic incident underscores the need for bar owners and managers to maintain accurate records of their patrons,” Mr. Ndebesa stressed. “We urge all establishments to work closely with security personnel to prevent such incidents and ensure public safety.”
As the community grapples with the news, Amahoro Bar and Lodges, a property of Mr. Byaruhanga Rubaramira, remains shrouded in uncertainty, with investigations underway. Mr. Ndebesa praised the efforts of Thunder FM radio for keeping the community informed about local and global events.
Police responded promptly to the incident, arriving at the scene to initiate investigations, which are currently ongoing.
