The Police in Wakiso have arrested Ssebagala Moses, a 39 year old boda boda rider and resident of Mabombwe after a video circulating on social media showing a man allegedly defiling a female juvenile.
According to the Kampala Metropolitan Police Spokesperson Kawala Rachael, Ssebagala a resident of Mabombwe village, Mabombwe parish Mende subcounty Wakiso district, is being held in connection with the aggravated defilement of an 8-year-old girl seen in the video.
Kawala noted that the incident occurred on Thursday.
“It is alleged that the victim was outside with her sister when the suspect approached them. He gave the children a phone to watch cartoons and placed the victim on his lap, where he was allegedly seen defiling the 8-year-old”she said.
Kawala strongly condemned all forms of child abuse and urged parents and guardians to remain vigilant and closely supervise their children at all times.
“The suspect is currently in custody and will be produced in court as investigations continue” she said.
