The Kajjansi Police is investigating death of a one year old baby, after she was allegedly poisoned on Friday night in Katwe cell, Nakawuka parish, Kajjansi town council in Wakiso district.
According to the Kampala Metropolitan Police Deputy Spokesperson, Luke Owoyesigyire the deceased has been identified as Balisala Promise.
“It’s alleged that for the last two days the complainant had been leaving her child with the suspect who is her nephew to go for night duty” he said.
Owoyesigyire said the suspect confessed that the kid always disturbed him at night and the first time he administered the over dose medicine for the baby to sleep but they didn’t work but instead the child ended up dying instead.
“A case of murder by poisoning has been opened up while investigations continue” he said.
