Tukamushaba has been remanded until 24th February when the case will come up again for hearing.
In a post on his X account, the NUP Secretary General Lewis Rubongoya while welcoming back Tukamushaba alleged that her arrest was part of government’s strategy to cripple the party’s election preparations.
“The regime’s intention was of course to cripple the Party’s election preparations which is why they targeted our Deputy Presidents and the Election Management teams. We shall overcome! Very grateful to our teams on ground for the great role played in securing her freedom” he posted.
