The Officer in Charge (OC) of Ntawo Police Post in Mukono Central Division, Mukono Municipality has been shot dead by suspected thieves traveling on a motorcycle.
According to reports, Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Emma Bagenda was shot dead at around 10:20pm as he together with his team attempted to stop the thieves.
The riders are said to have opened fire, killing ASP Bagenda on the spot and injuring a police constable who was on patrol with him.

The attackers also fled with a police gun from the scene.
Joint security agencies have since launched a manhunt for the suspects as investigations into the shooting begin.
