The Wakiso Chief Magistrates Court has remanded three men over charges of forcible entry, destroying crops, and theft.
The trio include Mirimu Ivan, a transport and clearing agent, Ssempijja Edward and Bbaale Joseph both businessmen.
According to prosecution, the trio and others still at large, between October 30 and November 4, 2025, at Kasanje Town Council in Wakiso District, engaged in violent acts to seize land comprising Busiro Block 514, Plots 6, 10, & 12.
They assembled a large number of people and entered the land, which was occupied by Pontiano Kaweesa Ssengendo of Kamuli Industrial Estates Ltd, and unlawfully destroyed tree plantations, coffee trees, and other natural trees.
They also stole nine motors of coffee milling machines, property of Kamuli Industrial Estates Ltd worth approximately UGX 100 million.
They have been remanded until 03rd December when the case will come up for mention.
