As the country still comes to terms with the brutal murder of David Mutaaga and his wife Deborah Mutaaga at their home on Sunday, friends and family on Saturday quietly descended on Nakasozi Village, Buddo Parish in Wakiso district to send off their loved ones.
However the two children of the deceased couple Isabel Najitta Mutaaga and Mark Ernest Kabenge Mutaaga have skipped the burial of their parents and opted to stay abroad citing security concerns for their lives.
According to a source close to the family, the children who allegedly suspect a relative to be behind their murder didn’t feel safe to come back home and attend the burial, least the same happened to them.

The source intimated noted that it’s for this reason that the pair decided to stay away from the funeral and even return home.
According to the New Vision, police investigators, have zeroed in on relatives of the elderly couple, with evidence pointing to some of the relatives who allegedly hired the killer in a calculated attack motivated by a bitter fight over family property.
“A major breakthrough came from a chilling audio recording captures by the home closed circuit television system with the killer calling the victims by their names during the attack, “Deborah, do you think its only you with children? We also want to be well off. You can call whoever you want, but I have come to kill you and nothing will deter me from fulfilling my mission”.
