The Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) Principal Public Relations Officer Jennifer Kalule Musamba has revealed Sunday July 15th as the deadline set by the body for this year’s candidate registration.
In a statement released on Friday, Ms Musumba urged all heads of Primary and Secondary schools examination centres who have not yet dully registered all their learners to do so before the said date.
“The fees for this window of normal registration have been maintained at UGX 34,000 for the Primary Leaving Examination (PLE), UGX 164,000 for the Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE), and UGX 186,000 for the Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE)” the statement reads,
Ms Musumba further said, “For learners who may miss to be registered during this time, a period has been set for late registration which will attract a surcharge, heads of Centres of Government Aided schools are advised to ensure that all their learners are fully registered during this period because the government will not pay the surcharges”.
Ms Musumba revealed that a total of 1,372,015 candidates have so far registered for the three levels. 809, 384 of these are PLE candidates, 404,682 are UCE, while 157,949 are UACE Candidates.
