A dark cloud and somber mood hanged over the major parts of Kampala City on Tuesday as Family, friends and fans from all walks of life lined up the streets of the Central Business district to send off the late Rajiv Ruparelia.
Rajiv, son to Business Mogul Sudhir Ruparelia died in a motor accident over the weekend after his Nissan GTR car hit temporary road blocks at the Busaabala roundabout along the Kampala- Munyonyo express.

The funeral procession to the Hindu Crematorium grounds in Lugogo saw a number of friends and family drive in sports cars and Bikes around the city displaying various skills in commemoration of the love and impact that the late Rajiv had on the fraternity.

His Sister Meera Ruparelia described her late brother as a calm and kind person, “When I had my own low moments like scratching the Range Rover and feeling the world had come to an end you were there calm, kind and reassuring”.

As emotions kept running high, in a moment of deep reverence and finality, the late Rajiv Ruparelia was laid to rest through cremation leaving behind a life marked by impact and ambition.
Rajiv Ruparelia’s cremation ceremony drew close family members, friends, and dignitaries as Uganda bid farewell to one of its most promising business leaders.
