NUP President H.E Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine has called on the Government to unconditionally release his security aide, Edward Ssebuufu alias Eddie Mutwe who was recently abducted from Mukono by armed men and driven off in an unknown location in the infamous drone car.
Mr Kyagulanyi who was addressing media on Wednesday on the recent spate of abduction of his personal security details and NUP supporters by armed men in the infamous drone vehicles said he will not be deterred by the continued abduction of his team.
“Some of them are killed like they did to Frank Senteza, other are beaten up and disabled like Mutima Godfrey popularly known as High Tower, many are abducted and trumped up charges are placed on them in court like they have done to Gadaffi, Achileo and Wakabi that they beat up a camera person of one person who used to be our colleague in Masaka” he said.
Mr Kyagulanyi further warned President Museveni’s government of the consequences that will occur if his life is ended as is allegedly being planned by the regime, a claim that this website couldn’t independently verify.

“We already know am their main target, what they are trying to do is to do away with all my surrounding protection detail so as I can be left in the open and they cause all sorts of harm they want to me but I want to inform them that am a Ugandan like everyone else, you might think am only with those that you see me with and if you expect a response from those who are near me, your lying to yourself, I am here, whatever harm you want to do to me, am here but it will not just go lightly and you also know it very well, it will cost you and those that will come after you” he said.
Bobi wine further said the harm the harm government wants to cause him is already known and it should never be treated as a mistake.
The NUP Deputy President Central Muwanga Kivumbi Muhammad through his X account urged government to desist from the arbitrary arrest of the opposition party’s supporters across the country.
“The pain you afflict on the citizens by arbitrarily arresting their loved ones, brutalizing them, abducting them and jailing them for no legitimate reason justifies the hate you get in retribution. The seed of pain you’ve sowed will reap for you the same when the time is ripe. Ugandans are simply and peacefully yearning for regime change but you’re pressing them to the wall. Just one day, the masses shall rise and the oppressor will be cornered. Comeuppance awaits. The revolution is on!” he said.
