Police at Jinja Road are holding three suspects in connection with the alleged publication of fake news and the unlawful obtaining or disclosure of personal data on social media platforms.
The Kampala Metropolitan Police Spokesperson Kawala Racheal, revealed that the incident reportedly occurred in July 2026 and involved activities on social media platforms.
The suspects include Mayiga Ronald, Kakaire Swaibu, also known as One One UG and Mugoya Mark

She noted that the suspects are currently in police custody and will be produced before court to face the law.
“Members of the public are reminded to use social media platforms responsibly and to respect the privacy and personal data of others” she said.
