Contemporary visual artist kagina Ishack Akampa, is set to host his first ever solo exhibition set using visual art with performing arts.
The highly anticipated exhibition titled, “THE ROAR OF IDENTITY” will take place on 5th September 2026 at The Summit Residences, Naguru from 9AM to 10PM.
Kagina revealed that the exhibition invites viewers to confront their true selves – loud, unfiltered, and authentic.
“It’s a celebration of African identity, resilience, and creative freedom” he said.
Known for his bold colours, expressive textures, and layered storytelling, Kagina turns personal experiences into powerful visual narratives.
“My art is not just what you see – it’s what you feel. Each piece is a conversation between who we are, where we come from, and who we are becoming” he said.
He added, “I paint identity. The noise inside us, the culture that holds us, the roar we hide to fit in. My work gives that roar a face.”
Ticket for the exhibition themed; Identity, heritage, mental strength, youth voice, which will showcase Contemporary African art, mixed media, acrylics, portraiture and abstract expressionism are going for UGX 100,000.
