The Chief of Defence Forces and Senior Presidential Advisor for Special Operations General Muhoozi Kainerugaba, has appointed Maj General Felix Busizoori, the new Deputy Commander of the Land Forces, in a new reshuffle of the Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF) command.
The UPDF acting PRO, Col Chris Magezi has made the revelation in statement posted on his X account on Saturday.
Busizoori, who has been commanding the 4 Infantry Division, replaces Maj. Gen. Joseph Ssemwanga, who has since been appointed the General Officer Commanding of the Reserve Forces.
He replaces Lt Gen Charles Otema Awany who is due for retirement next week.
Magezi noted that the 3 Infantry Division Commander Maj Gen Wilberforce Sserunkuma is appointed the 4 Infantry Division Commander.
While the Deputy 1 Infantry Division Commander Brig Gen Micheal Hyeroba is appointed the 3 Infantry Division Commander.
The transfers and appointments take immediate effect.
