The Entebbe Chief Magistrates Court has charged and remanded Mugisha Junior Bukanura Agaba and Akora Naume, on charges of Obtaining money by false pretenses, Forgery, Uttering false documents and Personation.
According to prosecution, on October 14, 2025, the two suspects, together with others still at large, orchestrated a fraudulent scheme through which they obtained UGX 80 million from a buyer.
The suspects presented themselves as the registered proprietors of land comprised in Busiro Block 436, Plot 374, Nalugala, and forged National Identity Cards bearing the names and National Identification Numbers (NINs) of the genuine proprietors, Ahimbisibwe Allan and Nassamula Harriet, but with photographs of the suspects.
They further executed a fraudulent sale agreement and convinced the victim to part with UGX 80 million for property they neither owned nor had authority to sell.
The court has remanded them until July 15, when the case will come up for mention.
