Thousands of faithful’s gathered at the Namugongo Uganda Martyrs Catholic Shrine turned ecstatic during martyrs day mass after Christians were seen gazing at the cloud-covered sky claiming to have seen the figure of the Virgin Mary.
According to several reports, the Virgin Mary said appearance at the shrine is a sign of blessing upon this year’s pilgrimage.
In recent months, several reports have surfaced of alleged Marian apparitions in Uganda, leading to increased religious fervor and pilgrimages.
One notable instance involves a home in Nalyamagonja-Manyangwa, Gayaza, where believers claim the Virgin Mary appeared during a rosary prayer gathering.
Another location, Rwensa Hill in Masindi District, has seen a surge in visits following reports of an apparition of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
These apparitions are being investigated by the Catholic Church.
