The Police at Old Kampala is investigating a murder incident that occurred on Sunday at approximately 6:30 PM in Bakuli, Kampala Central Division, Kampala District.
According to the Kampala Metropolitan Police Spokesperson Kawala Racheal, the deceased has been identified as Denis, a 34-year-old boda boda rider.
“Preliminary findings indicate that on the above-mentioned date and time, Denis, who was reportedly an ArsenalFC supporter, got into a misunderstanding with the suspect, identified only as Musiramu, who is alleged to be a ManchesterUnited F.C. supporter” she said.
Kawala further noted that the disagreement allegedlly escalated into a physical altercation during which the suspect reportedly struck Denis on the head, causing him to collapse and die instantly.
“Efforts to apprehend the suspect are currently underway” she said.
Kawala revealed that the body of the deceased was conveyed to Mulago National Referral Hospital for postmortem examination as investigations into the matter continue.
