As the corruption probe into former Speaker of Parliament Anitah Among, deepens, security operatives have impounded her Rolls-Royce Cullinan and a Range Rover with number plates “AAA,” from her Kigo residence.
The seizure on Monday, follows security raids on her homes on Sunday in Kigo and Ntinda suburbs, with the search at Kigo, leading to the discovery of several luxury cars, including the controversial UGX 3.2 billion Rolls-Royce Cullinan 2025.
According to security operatives, the vehicles are being transported to the Forensics Headquarters in Kampala, as part of an ongoing probe into alleged illicit enrichment and money laundering.
On Sunday, security operatives led by the Police Criminal Investigation Department (CID), sealed off Among’s homes in Kigo and Ntinda suburbs, hours after they searched her Nakasero residence in search of evidence in the ongoing probe.

The ongoing operations are reportedly part of a President Museveni-sanctioned probe into the politician over corruption and other alleged offenses, which authorities have yet to disclose publicly.
On Monday, Among withdrew from the speakership race and grovelled before President Yoweri Museveni and the National Resistance Movement (NRM), as the probe into her alleged corruption deepens.

“I wish to categorically and unequivocally state that I will not be offering myself for the Speakership race of the 12th Parliament. I am greatly indebted to H.E Kaguta Museveni, my party, the @NRMOnline, and members of the 11th Parliament for giving me the opportunity to serve as Deputy Speaker and Speaker” she posted.
