The State House Anti Corruption unit in collaboration with Criminal Investigations Directorate of the Uganda Police Force and the Office of the DPP has arraigned four officials before the Chief Magistrates Court, Manafwa on charges of theft and conspiracy to commit a felony.
These are; Wanzala Samuel, Commercial Officer/Focal Person, Manafwa District, Kashake Michael, Community Development Officer, Bukoma Sub-county, Nelima Harriet, Treasurer, Buwanzala PDM SACCO, Kisaka Fred, Parish Chief of Busangayi I Village.
According to prosecution, in December 2025, in Buwanzala, Manafwa District, the four suspects, along with others still at large, conspired together with the intent to defraud and stole cash amounting to UGX 8 million, which belonged to Buwanzala PDM SACCO and its beneficiaries.
They have been remanded until June 10th when the matter will come up for further hearing.
