The Entebbe Police has in custody one Alex Baboineke Kyokulagira, a resident of Kabale zone ‘B’ over the alleged murder of his neighbour in a land dispute.
According to reports, Alex, a known con artist in Entebbe allegedly pushed his neighbour Patrick Bagonza from a building after a bitter exchange over land boundaries with his neighbor.
The Kampala Metropolitan Deputy Police Spokesperson, Luke Owoyesigyire confirmed that arrest of one suspect, has so far been arrested in the murder, however, he didn’t reveal his details in the murder.
“Police in Entebbe is investigating the murder that occurred in Kabale B, in Katabi Town Council Wakiso District, according to reports the deceased on Thursday went to check on the road and drainage after it appeared to have clogged following the heavy downpour” he said.
Owoyesigyire noted that the deceased started arguing with his neighbour, whom they had spent a lot of time in verbal conflict
“According to eyewitnesses, after they saw the two arguing, they saw him again when he had fallen at the gate while bleeding profusely from a wound, they tried rushing him to hospital but it was already too late”
Owoyesigyire noted that Police was deployed at the scene of crime, recorded statements from people and took the body to Mulago City mortuary for post-mortem review.
He noted that investigations into the murder are ongoing.
