Kampala Metropolitan Police (KMP) deputy spokesperson Luke Owoyesigyire, has revealed that the force has launched investigations into the mysterious death of a woman who reportedly died after sustaining serious injuries at the home of city socialite Bryan Kirumira popularly known as Bryan White.
The deceased identified as 25-year-old Caroline Nalubwama an alleged girlfriend to Bryan White is said to have died at the socialites residence in Kyamula, Makindye Division under unclear circumstances on Monday night.
She was rushed to Kiruddu Hospital, where she was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
“The territorial Police at Katwe are actively investigating the circumstances under which a one Nalubwama, aged 25, allegedly sustained serious injuries resulting in her death.
Preliminary information indicates that the deceased was reportedly at the home of Bryan White when the incident occurred” Owoyesigyire, said.
Owoyesigyire, revealed that a team of officers, including forensic experts, visited the scene, documented evidence, and recovered relevant exhibits to support the ongoing investigation.
Owoyesigyire added that the deceased’s body has been taken to City Mortuary Mulago for a post-mortem examination to determine the exact cause of death.
He revealed that Bryan White, also sustained injuries during the incident and is receiving medical treatment and has already recorded a statement with investigators.
“Efforts are underway to retrieve available CCTV footage and interview additional witnesses to piece together the actual sequence of events,” Owoyesigyire said.
